Amsterdam, August 24, 2023: GreenFlux, a DKV Mobility Group company, today announced the successful implementation of Hubject’s Plug&Charge technology onto its platform. The deployment marks a crucial step in the eMobility platform provider’s pursuit to accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility and make EV driving accessible to all.

GreenFlux empowers charge point operators (CPOs) and eMobility service providers (EMSPs) to scale their operations with its cloud-based, hardware-agnostic EV charging solutions.

Following the successful implementation and tests with hardware and car manufacturers, GreenFlux is now ready to deploy the Plug&Charge feature to its CPO platform customers. CPO customers can offer the feature to their clients once the charge stations are updated with the latest firmware and the required list of certificates is in place.

‘The addition of Hubject’s Plug&Charge technology further allows GreenFlux to promote renewable transportation at scale,’ stated Suthalan Gnanes, Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer. ‘This integration demonstrates our commitment to providing the best possible EV charging experience for our customers and our commitment towards sustainable mobility.’

Christian Hahn, CEO Hubject GmbH, added: ‘We are very proud to work with such a committed partner as GreenFlux. This marks another great step for the industry, by providing more secure and customer-friendly solutions than before.’

GreenFlux’s Plug&Charge functionality is based on the ISO15118 protocol, which allows a fully automated charging process. By partnering with Hubject, each of the software provider’s CPO customers can roll out the Plug&Charge feature once their charge stations are updated with the latest firmware. Once updated, EV drivers using charge stations of these CPOs can directly pay for their charging sessions without using app-based payment methods, RFID, or credit cards. With Plug&Charge, the authentication begins as soon as the drivers connect their vehicle to a charge station.
